^*susan*^: 1 DAY Trip To Kuala Selangor

7th Jun 2008, today I follow my brother to Kuala Selangor. I am so excited because this is my first time to Kuala Selangor. When we reach there is around afternoon, then his friend bring us to visit XXX. There was a lot of monkey there; the monkey was so different compare to my hometown (Penang). After that we go to buy seafood and eat seafood. Woah… is a great trip.

"Place for sighting of the new moon" The purpose is to determine the begining of Ramadan and Syawal.

"Poisoned Well" is a well with cement plaster and round in shape. This well is said to be poisoned and it was the place of torturing traitors during earlier era. The water of the well was poisoned by the sprinkling of a concoction of various types of poisons such as sonous saps and fine hairs of the bamboo shoot. In the earlier days, a person found to be guilty of a grave offence would be immersed in the said well and filled with poisonous fluid up to the chin level and which would result in the said traitor to undergo extreme agony and eventually die.

The monkeys are so different compare to those in Penang...

The Bedrock
The Bedrock is situated at the far end of the Sultan’s palace garden. It is placed on an open area with three descending steps in the direction of the sunrise. It is actually a solid piece of stone measuring 5x5x1 feet square and supported by stone was used a place to behead traitors. Another opinion is of the belief that the stone was a place of relaxation for Sultan Abdul Samad to view the township of Kuala Selangor.

I belief the 2nd opinion because when I step on the rock I really can view the township of Kuala Selangor and I don’t think we want to stay near a place to behead traitors. HAHAHA…
